Who Am I? Glad You Asked!

I’m Jonah Downey, a Fitness Coach & Founder of FIT4LIFE. I became a coach because I saw firsthand how working out and eating better transformed my energy, confidence, and overall happiness. Now, my mission is to help you unlock your full potential and live a healthier, stronger, and more confident life.

Inside the FIT4LIFE App, I’ve got weekly updated workouts designed to help you build functional strength, burn fat, and tone muscle—all while improving flexibility and overall health.

I specialize in calisthenics & bodyweight training because moving your own bodyweight is a true sign of strength. But I also incorporate dumbbells & free weights to help pack on muscle. Whether you train at home with no equipment or in the gym, I’ve got the perfect plan for you.

Will this guide help me get visible abs?

This guide will strengthen and define your abs, but visible abs depend on body fat percentage. Nutrition plays a big role, so pair these workouts with a high-protein, whole-food diet and stay in a slight calorie deficit if your goal is fat loss. 

Do I need any equipment?

Nope! This 7-day ab guide is 100% bodyweight and can be done anywhere—at home, the gym, or even outside..

Should I train other muscle groups?

For the best overall fitness results, I recommend pairing these ab workouts with full-body training. If you're unsure where to start, aim for 2-3 full-body workouts per week for a balanced routine!

You can train abs every day, but should you?

Probably not—unless you micro-dose your workouts. That means short 3-5 minute sessions daily instead of long 10-20 minute ones to allow recovery. If you prefer longer ab workouts (10-20 min), aim for 2-4 times per week to prevent overtraining. Abs recover quickly, but like any muscle, they still need rest to grow. This 7-day guide balances variety so you don’t overwork them!

What if I’m a beginner?

No worries if you’re a beginner! I give exercise modifications for most of the exercises in these workouts so no matter what fitness level you are you can still benefit from this guide.

Do you offer personal training sessions?

Yes! I offer 1 on 1 training exclusively to Phoenix Arizona residents. But I do have an App to fit all your training needs also.
